Some people said:
"Jonas is a brilliant teacher. A combination of sensitivity and wit matched with wisdom and candor, Jonas's delivery is precise, direct and powerfully transformative. The steadfast atmosphere of trust and love created by the Kula made the entire experience amazing and almost transcending. The retreat at Kaomai Lanna is a blast!"
Bec, Singapore
"Thank you Jonas for a truly inspiring course, and assisting me on my continual yoga journey, with taking my practice to new dimensions. I found the course extremely rewarding and your style of teaching very uplifting and empowering."
Melanie, Yoga teacher (and pregnant), UK
Thank you for giving a wonderful experience in Chiang Mai. I was so much inspired by your teaching and words that you' gave us every morning at the beginning of the class. For me it was the place to reconfirm the feeling I had when I started yoga, the joy of practice, and the beauty of learning from a wonderful teacher!
Mikiko Yatabe,Tokyo, Japan
"The wonderfully warm people and the winding down Thai massage in the evenings made this retreat a treat from beginning to end. But principally, of course, Jonas's precise, beautifully communicated knowledge of yoga made this more than just a learning curve - but a precious inner/outer spiraling life enriching experience."
Lindy Clarke, South Africa
"For the past 4 years, I have been fortunate to find myself rounding off my Thailand Journey with the Anusara Yoga retreat. It has become the highlight of my annual journey to gather with some wonderful folks to practice and play. Jonas embodies the genuine mirthful spirit of a deep personal practice as the Universal Principles reveal themselves during our sessions. I have never made greater progress in my practice, and with such ease of effort. Kudos to Jonas's ability to captivate, motivate, and educate students of varying levels simultaneously."
James Pehler, Structural Bodyworker, USA
"I now know the difference between practicing with a teacher and practicing with a master. Jonas leads with passion, skill, understanding, knowledge, warmth and a good sense of humor. His understanding of Anusara yoga has brought my practice to a point that both makes sense and gives me direction for the future. If you get the chance to attend a retreat with Jonas you’ll never look back."
Margi Gibb, M. Ed; Melbourne, Australia

OTHER ACTIVITIES
The Yoga retreat is in itself a full-time endeavour. There is, however, additional options of how to spend some of your time-off away from the retreat. The lunch breaks are spacious and lend themselves to short excurions in the nearby area. One afternoon is free and there are many activities to choose from - or just laze around by the pool and simply be. The fabric of everyday Thai life goes on all around the area near the resort.
Elephant riding is available and an opportunity not to be missed if you haven't tried it before. Thailand's highest peak, Doi Inthanon, is within reach as are whitewater river rafting, jungle hiking, and more.
Viang Tha Karn with ruins of an 800-year-old town, lies just 3 km from the resort. You can wander through a cluster of ancient pagodas, view buddha images and ruins of ancient temples - reflecting the glory days ancient kingdoms before the establishment of Chiang Mai.
