What differentiates the Thai Yoga method from other approaches?

Evolved from the director's personal bodymind background, which includes in-depth studies in both physiotherapy and yoga, the Thai Yoga Method offers a special approach to the Thai healing tradition.

The Thai Yoga Method is unique in its emphasis on the well-being of the practitioner. Through the adjunct support of Hatha yoga poses, biomechanics, body dynamics, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices - the practitioner gracefully "dances" through the Thai Yoga sequence - lasting 1.5-3 hours.

We provide a safe, sound, scientific, structured, yogic, and highly conducive learning environment in order to transmit these intricate, transformational hands-on skills. Sacred space, healing touch, safety aspects, loving-kindness, mindfulness meditation, yoga poses and yoga breathing - are all practiced in our sessions and training program.

"I sit at the table of unknowing
and invite you to join me there"

the 14th Dalai Lama

"you must be the change
you want to see in the world"

frequently asked questions about thai yoga

How do I begin Thai Yoga studies?

We recommend that you first take a Thai Yoga Introductory Workshop. They provide a solid introduction to the modality, come in several formats, and teach the fundamentals of Thai Yoga. There are no special pre-requisites for any of our introductory courses other than an open mind, a willing body, and an interest to expand the bodymind complex. You can also begin by directly taking the Thai Yoga Foundation Course, however an Introductory workshop will establish a foundation that will help you assimilate the Certification more readily.

What kind of techniques are used in Thai Yoga?

Numerous therapeutic and healing techniques are all combined in the Thai Yoga Repertoire. It's a dynamic combination of myofascial stretching, joint mobilization, acupressure, energy balancing, rhythmic deep tissue compression, soft tissue manipulation, assisted Yoga asana, and Buddhist meditation - resulting in a powerful experience of applied Yoga Therapy. It is a unique and highly effective art of healing that becomes a powerful and transformational experience for the recipient as well as for the practitioner. The techniques are modified to meet the needs of the recipient and range from gentle rhythmic applications to deep tissue manipulation.

What is the Thai Yoga Certification Program?

We offer two levels of Thai Yoga Certification and there is no specific enrollment procedure involved. You simply begin with the Thai Yoga Foundation Course (Level 1) and continue with the next level at your own convenience. Due to the increasing number of short and incomplete Thai Massage courses offered, we feel obligated to assure that high quality training is available. The Thai Yoga Certification Program is designed to graduate highly skilled Thai Yoga practitioners and thereby giving this healing modality the highest standards by fully honoring the ancient healing tradition of Thailand.

Who can participate in our Thai Yoga seminars?

The Thai Yoga Curriculum is suitable for yoga teachers and yoga practitioners, massage therapists, bodyworkers, health-care professionals, physiotherapists (PT's), personal trainers, healers, dancers, martial art practitioners, and anyone interested in expanding their bodymind awareness and therapeutic skills. We believe that anyone should be able to learn this healing art and try our best to make it available to all.
